Cleopatra VII Philopator (January 69 BC - August 12, 30 BC) was queen of ancient Egypt. Cleopatra is Ancient Greek for father's glory and her full name, Cleopatra Thea Philopator means The Goddess Cleopatra, Father loving. She was the third of four daughters of King Ptolemy XII Auletes, with whom she initially reigned. There were therefore several Cleopatra's in her family. She herself was called Cleopatra VII.
