Smudging (literally: smoldering fire) is the burning of natural herbs or flowers, such as roses or sage, to cleanse yourself, your living space, or objects of negative energy. The smoke brings peace, balance, and positive energy and is often used during meditation, rituals, or relaxation. Method: light the bundle. Once it starts burning, blow out the flame. The resulting smoke will be used for purification. Move the smoke well throughout the room, for example, with a fan or feather. To extinguish it, you can use a dish filled with silver sand to put it out.
