What is a Chakra?

A chakra is a center of activity that receives, adjusts and releases life force energy. The word chakra refers to a revolving field of bioenergetic activity that flows through the main nerve nodes of the spine. There are six of these wheels that form a series of energy fields from the tailbone to the middle of the forehead and a seventh chakra that is located above the body.
